Conduit Road Fire Board

Conduit Road Fire Board, Inc., is the legal entity that owns and operates Glen Echo Fire Department.  CRFB exists as a result of a session law (1933 Md. Laws, Chap. 183) passed by the Maryland Legislature and signed by Maryland Governor Albert C. Ritchie on April 21, 1933. 

As of August, 2018, CRFB members include:

Terms expire May, 2022.

The board usually meets at 6:00 PM on the second Monday of each month at Glen Echo Fire Department.  However, the September 2018 meeting has been moved to September 17.

Meeting agenda order is typically as follows but is subject to change:

Topics scheduled for discussion during the open portion of the September 17 CRFB meeting will include the vehicle auction, a report from Bingo, C711 damage, potential acquisition of a new ALS chase car, financial policy updates, bylaw updates, U711 damage, open house preparations, purchase order authorizations, hiring a paid secretary for board minutes, setting up a meeting with the architect, establishing a budget, switching banks, laying out future agenda items, discussion of bringing aboard a new member, possible time slot changes for CRFB meetings, and other topics.
