Fire Safety
- Install
a smoke detector on every level of your home.
- Teach
children to get out quickly and to stay out in case of fire.
- Replace
worn, old or damaged appliance cords immediately.
- Never
overload electrical extension cords.

electrical products that meet the UL standard for safety.

- Keep
grills away from anything that can burn, such as your house, car or dry

blockages.
- Do
not overfill the propane tank on your gas grill.
- Test
you smoke detectors monthly.

a home escape plan with your family.
- Never
open doors that are hot to the touch.
- Teach
children not to hide from firefighters.
- Keep
matches and lighters in a secured drawer or cabinet.

fire.
